How to Play B1F: Dungeon Escape

B1F: Dungeon Escape is a top-down dodging game built around one control: hold down anywhere on the screen and drag to steer a small character across a checkered dungeon floor, keeping clear of a roaming horde of green, slime-like monsters. The title screen spells out the rule directly — "HOLD & DRAG to dodge" — alongside the first level's target, "SURVIVE 15 SECONDS!"

The run is built from three levels of rising difficulty. Level 1 plays inside the small embedded frame and asks for 15 seconds of survival. Clearing it opens a "LEVEL 2 / FULLSCREEN" button that switches the game into a separate full-screen tab, where the survival window stretches to roughly 27–28 seconds on Level 2 and around 37–38 seconds on Level 3. Finishing Level 3 brings up an "ALL CLEAR!" screen with buttons to play again or exit.

A HUD of three heart icons sits at the top of the screen throughout every level, alongside a small counter that appears to track an item or currency pickup. Surviving to the end of a level's clock pays a time bonus, shown on screen as a "TIME BONUS" line worth ten points for every second on the clock.

Level 1's dungeon floor also features a green door marked ESCAPE near the top of the play area, along with orange-red mushroom-shaped objects scattered among the monsters, all part of the dungeon backdrop the character dodges across while the timer counts toward its target.

Tips & Strategy

Keep the drag moving, don't plant your character

The monster horde roams continuously and closes in from multiple directions, so standing still even briefly narrows your escape routes. Make small, steady adjustments to your drag rather than parking in one spot and hoping the horde drifts past.

Budget your attention level by level

The survival target roughly doubles from Level 1's 15 seconds to Level 3's high-30s range, so pace yourself. A clean opening level is no guarantee the horde stays the same size or spread once the timer target grows on Level 2 and Level 3.

Treat every heart as precious

A row of three heart icons stays visible throughout the run. Steer early to open distance from the horde rather than threading close calls near the edges of the group — giving yourself room to react costs nothing and keeps your run alive longer.

Use the ESCAPE door as a landmark

A green door labeled ESCAPE sits near the top of the Level 1 floor. It's a fixed point on an otherwise repetitive checkered floor, useful for judging your position relative to the monsters chasing you as you dodge.

Use the mushroom markers to read the floor

Orange-red mushroom-shaped objects are scattered across the checkered floor alongside the monster horde. Whatever their exact function, they're fixed points on the ground you can use the same way as the ESCAPE door — as reference markers for tracking your position while your attention is mostly on the monsters closing in around you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is B1F: Dungeon Escape free to play?

Yes. It loads directly in your browser with no download or account required.

How do I control the character?

Hold down anywhere on the screen and drag; the character follows your hold as you steer around the monsters.

How many levels does it have?

Three. Level 1 asks for 15 seconds of survival in the embedded frame, then Level 2 and Level 3 continue in full screen with survival targets around 27–28 seconds and 37–38 seconds.

How do I clear a level?

Each level is cleared by surviving until its countdown reaches the target. The green monsters roaming the floor are the threat, and the HUD keeps a row of three hearts on screen while you dodge, so keeping your distance is what carries a run to the end.

Does clearing a level score points?

Yes. The game shows a TIME BONUS line when a level is cleared — for example "TIME BONUS: 27s! (+270pt)" — worth ten points per second.

What happens after I clear all three levels?

An ALL CLEAR screen appears with the option to play again from Level 1 or exit.
